Anti-Slavery Letters

A dedicated archive of letters, dispatches, and pastoral correspondence from the long anti-slavery tradition — preserved as primary witness to the conscience of the church in public life.

The Anti-Slavery Letters collection gathers correspondence from ministers, abolitionists, freedpeople, and civic theologians across two centuries of struggle. Each letter is preserved with provenance, transcription, and scholarly annotation through the Black Theologian Project.

The collection is currently being prepared for public reading. Selected charters and excerpts can already be opened in the reading room.
